Martha Duesterhoft, Certified Executive Coach, SPHR:

Martha has applied her 20 years of experience in human resources to create Human Resource Ally. Examples of the type of work she has delivered include the following: Executive Coaching; Change Management; Leadership Development; Transition Management of outsourced HR functions; HR Transformation - development of new HR roles and processes; Employee Communications; HR Audits; Communication Skills Training; Team Building workshops; Recruiting; Interviewing Skills Training & Customer Service Training.

Prior to founding her own company, Martha was affiliated with Accenture for 11 years. There, she fulfilled various leadership roles in consulting, operational, and strategic human resource positions.  Her scope of responsibilities included design and implementation work in the following areas: Change Management projects, Career Management Models, Performance Evaluation Processes, Recruiting, Orientation, Recognition Programs,  Salary Administration, and Employee Relations. Martha Duesterhoft was the second employee in Accenture’s start-up human resource outsourcing company, Accenture HR Services, as the Director of Transition Management. Martha leveraged her strong project management skills to implement successful transitions.

Martha began her career with a strong foundation as a generalist in training and human resources in the retail and restaurant industries, working first for a division of Federated Department Stores, which owns Foley’s, and then with Unigate Restaurants, the parent company of The Black-Eyed Pea and others.

Martha has achieved Executive Coach certification & SPHR.  She has written or contributed to articles related to coaching and performance management in HR Magazine and the Ft. Worth Business Press and has served as a speaker at the HR Southwest Conference and TCU's SHRM Association.  She holds her Executive Coaching certification from Texas Christian University and the Center for Creative Leadership and a B.A. in Marketing from Texas A&M University.

Outside work, Martha’s other passions are her husband, Paul, and two sons, Nick and Jake. The Duesterhofts spend a lot of time at the ice rink as both boys play hockey. The entire family loves outdoor activities, and the mountains are a favorite spot for vacations.
